Meditation
Dating back some 2,600 years, the practice of meditation has been instrumental in handling stress, becoming more focused, and living an overall more balanced life. Additionally, science and research are now finding the positive impacts of meditation and how it can greatly enhance a person’s overall well-being.
Having trained in mindfulness meditation for over a decade, I’ve studied under several well-known teachers across different traditions. I’ve also participated in conferences and trainings with experts in the world of science, medicine, technology, and wellness industries to see what approach works best in a corporate or real world settings.
The session would include an overall understanding of why you’re interested in meditation along with the sharing of the basic practice for everyday use. It’s about building a sound foundation for practice so that the impacts can be lasting and on-going.
Do I have to be spiritual or religious to benefit from meditation?
Although there can be spiritual or even religious avenues one can take with meditation practice, the practice of meditation has been around for thousands of years, mainly due to the overall positive benefits of the practice. Would you continue doing something for over 2,600 years if it wasn’t helpful? Mindfulness meditation has been proven to be effective for stress management and overall well being. See it as a regular workout for your mind and your brain.
Process:
History of meditation
Potential impacts of meditation
Body scan for preparation
The art of sitting and introduction to the practice
Checking in for questions
Laying the foundation for consistent practice
I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to create and implement meditation classes and programs in both the public and private sectors over the last few years. While at the City and County of Denver, it led to an on-going meditation service with exposure to thousands of employees who could participate in an on-going program.
Since all of us are built differently, our session would focus on body adjustments so that you can have a lasting practice into the future. It’s about personalizing to where you are and laying the foundation for consistent practice.
This service can be conducted in the comforts of your home.
