Networking
Some people are more comfortable in a group or networking setting than others. The key to successful networking is about quality rather than quantity. Would you rather handout twenty business cards to strangers who may not even remember you, let alone make a connection that’s meaningful? Or would you prefer to handout five business cards to those who will most likely make a connection or even sit down with you for coffee?
This service would focus on identifying individuals who can actually help with your career search and spending quality time with them to make a connection. A connection where they’ll remember your name and help make meaningful connections with decision makers who can help land an interview or your next job.
I can share helpful tools to help you relax and get more comfortable in a networking or social setting.
Identifying people who may be able to help you while networking can be the difference…
Connectors -
All of us know Connectors in our lives. They tend to know a lot of people, but especially ones who have close relationships with decision makers are the influential Connectors you’ll want to know and identify while networking.
Experts -
Experts are those who are at the top in their field. An Expert may not know a lot of people; however, they are highly respected by their peers and especially decision makers. Get to know some Experts in the field that you’re interested in pursuing.
Decision Maker -
A Decision Maker is a leader, a person who holds the budget and actually makes the decision on making hires. If you’re able to convince a Decision Maker, the rest they say is history.
Whether or not you believe in decorum or etiquette when networking, a successful networker knows the little nuances and how to best approach someone. How and when is it appropriate to walk away from a conversation when the person you’re talking to can’t help you. Is it always about you and what you’re looking for? Or is there a two way medium where by offering assistance to another, a doorway opens to your benefit?
I’ll help you come up with a strategy on networking and make you stand out from others in the crowd.
